Chinese payment methods, orchestrated honestly.
FlowAcq is a payment orchestrator - one integration, many providers. This page describes how WeChat Pay, Alipay, UnionPay, QR and CNY checkout could route through FlowAcq. The connectors are in progress today, not live.
Where these connectors actually stand
- WeChat Pay & Alipay exist today as sandbox stubs - they let us validate flows, not move live money.
- UnionPay is on the roadmap and is not built yet.
- Nothing on this page should be read as "FlowAcq is live in China." It is a roadmap and a set of design options.
As an orchestrator, FlowAcq does not hold a Chinese payments licence. Going live depends on a settlement/aggregation partner and a founder decision on posture.
Methods / 5
Two ways we could integrate
Aggregator mode
- Route through a cross-border aggregator, such as an EasyPay-style partner, that already holds the China relationships.
- No PRC entity or local payments licence required on the FlowAcq side.
- Fastest path to a working WeChat Pay / Alipay flow.
- Trade-off: economics and settlement terms are set by the aggregator.
Partner is illustrative - not contracted. Subject to a founder decision.
Direct mode
- Integrate WeChat Pay / Alipay / UnionPay directly, which assumes a PRC entity and local licensing.
- Better unit economics and control at scale.
- Heavier: entity setup, licensing, and scheme onboarding take real time.
- Likely a later phase if China becomes a committed market.
Requires a PRC presence we do not have today. Roadmap, not a commitment.
Cross-border CNY -> USD / USDT settlement (concept)
The intended shape: a customer in China pays in CNY at checkout via WeChat Pay, Alipay or UnionPay QR. FlowAcq orchestrates the collection through the chosen partner, and the merchant is settled out in their preferred currency - for example USD, or a stablecoin such as USDT - net of FX and fees.
This decouples the buyer-side currency (CNY) from the merchant payout currency, which is the core value of orchestration for cross-border China commerce. The FX and stablecoin legs would themselves run through partner connectors that are also on the roadmap.
This is a design concept, not a shipped capability. The exact rails, partners, and whether USDT settlement is offered at all remain a founder decision.
Indicative architecture. No CNY collection or stablecoin settlement is live today.
